2026 General Membership Meeting
This year’s General Membership meeting took place on July 11, 2026, in the Frank P. Santoro Clubhouse at 9:00 am. A short dedication of the memorial plaque was held held in honor of Frank. The members enjoyed Refreshments. Thank you to Alison Siragusa for providing and coordinating coffee, juice and pastries.
It was a productive meeting of about half of our membership. Voting was accomplished with a total of 30 members, including some proxy votes. The minutes of the meeting will appear soon on this page for your review.
Meeting Minutes
The annual meeting of the Galway Lake Campers’ Association took place on July 11, 2026 at 7:00 pm at the Ruback Pavillion. Attendees enjoyed samples of Fried Fish from our lake, followed by the general meeting. Minutes of the meeting are available on the GLCA website. The dues assessed for this season 2026-2027 will remain the same – $425.00. All members must remit payment in order to enjoy the lake.
Volunteers Needed
We will still need volunteers to assist with the repair and painting of the Candy Store/Bottle return building, and to mow the clubhouse field in the spring. Some of the work has been completed, thanks to a few of our members. The building still needs some repair and paint. Please help maintain this piece of our grove’s history. Annual Membership Dues:
We have received most of the members’ dues, and we THANK YOU for fulfilling your obligation to the Grove. It is essential that all members pay their share in order to maintain our beautiful community. We appreciate your promptness and if you have any questions, feel free to contact any board member. The first installment of the Special Assessment which will be used solely for the extensive repair of Weiss Road is due by December 31, 2026. If you have already paid this, THANK YOU! All of this money is deposited in a special account in order to earn maximum interest without any possible loss of funds. We will continue to keep these funds safe and growing so that the Weiss Road repair project can proceed as planned. The Board of Directors takes their responsibilities to all members seriously – our goal is to protect the interests for all who enjoy our beautiful lake community.
The dumpsters will be available for members to use again as of May, 2027.
The Board would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Mary LaBombard for handling the bottle returns for the last three years. It is a dirty, tedious job – but fruitful, as it provides extra funds for the maintenance of the common areas. Grace Micco has volunteered take over next season. Again, Thank you Mary!
Reminders for the 2027 Season:
Please do not place any construction debris in the dumpsters. This is important. County Waste is our only option for weekly pickup in the grove. If use of the dumpsters is abused, we may lose the option to contract with them.
Please do not deposit tree limbs or brush in the leaf dump, which is located behind the fieldhouse. That area is for leaves only. We do not have room for branches, and the leaves disintegrate and compact naturally. Tree limb piles take much too long to do the same.
Please keep the vegetation around your property lines bordering the road maintained and clear. This is important for emergency responders to be able to enter our community.
The bottle return receptacles are only for bottles that have a deposit. Please do not place bottles without a deposit or garbage in these bins. Thank you for contributing your return deposits to the grove bottle fund. The money collected is used primarily for maintenance fees for the recreation field and clubhouse area.
Please be considerate of others while using the three public rights-of-way to the lake. Refrain from smoking while using the docks. Glass bottles are also not allowed in these areas.
Dogs must be leashed at all times when not on your own property. Please pick up after your animals!
Please pick up after yourself in any common area. Dumpsters are provided next to the clubhouse for your convenience.
